Our Story:
Being divers who suffer from PTSD, we realized that an outlet was needed for Combat Veterans, First Responders, Healthcare Professionals and other Victims who suffer from PTSD symptoms on a daily basis.
We began to Scuba Dive, go Boating, Fishing and attend other water excursions to escape the noise and stress of PTSD. We quickly realized that "ocean- therapy" was a very effective way to greatly reduce PTSD symptoms and hence in 2016, started our non-for-profit organization "Broken Arrow PTSD Dive Foundation, Inc.", an organization that encompasses Camaraderie, Boating, Diving, and overall love for the ocean.
Our quest is a family affair that continues to grow. People that get involved by using word of mouth, donations, sponsorships, hands on volunteering and simply supporting us and just becoming one of the family.
While still a grass-roots organization, Broken Arrow continues its momentum and aspires to be a refuge for Combat Veterans, First Responders, and otherPTSD sufferers.
Our mission is simple:
We provide an outlet for Combat Veterans/First Responders, other victims of PTSD by using "Broken Arrow's" boats within the foundations fleet while empowering qualified heroes to work on the boats in order to develop a sense of accomplishment, brotherhood/sisterhood while helping one another and the community that surrounds us, in combating PTSD.
All proceeds from "Broken Arrow's" Diving Trips, Fishing Charters, Merchandise, Sponsorships etc, will keep the vessels and equipment maintained in order to continue the forward momentum of the mission at hand in combating PTSD.
"Broken Arrow PTSD Diving Foundation, Inc." invites you to make a difference in our heroes futures! It is our mission to make our heroes feel appreciated and give credit where credit is due for the recovery our heroes deserve.
"Broken Arrow" believes that the suicide rate of PTSD can be greatly reduced or eliminated, if one is given an outlet that helps fight PTSD while building community within the community; a safe haven for escape and "Reel R&R" to unwind, and be empowered with family and friends.
